BlackType.Bet Review & Free Bet
Here is another relatively new online sportsbook to add to our ever growing portfolios; and we would like to introduce to you, BlackType. As they aren’t really a household name at this point, we are certain that the community would like to hear more about them and to see for themselves what they are like and what they are offering their players. Currently, by signing up to BlackType, you will be able to have full and exclusive access to both their casino and sportsbook; all of which are available from the same account.
Website – Layout & Interface:
BlackType has selected quite a minimalistic theme that is becoming more and more popular these days and when pulled off correctly, can look quite elegant for a sportsbook. The main theme is dark with the main body being white, creating a nice contrast that does the job very well. The background is great still shot of a horse race, which has been edited to blend in with the dark colour scheme that they have chosen.
The BlackType logo is recognisable in the top left-hand corner and is a black horse that has been outlined in white, sat in a black crest. On the right of this unique style of logo is where players can sign up, if they don’t have an account; or, alternatively, if you do – you will be able to log in.
The first header that runs horizontally below the logo is the main one that you will be using to switch between the different products as BlackType, as well as customising your experience. Here is where players can locate links to the casino, sportsbook, promotions, blog, contact us, betting rules, terms and conditions; and there is also a feature to change the odds format throughout the site and players will get to choose between fractions and decimal.
Instead of featuring a list down the left-hand side of the page containing sports markets, BlackType has decided to place theirs on a horizontal header, below the black one that we covered. They have done a good job of presenting some of the more popular sports and the rest can be viewed by simply clicking on a drop down.
Your BlackType bet slip is found on the right hand side of the page, this will grow as you add selections to it and underneath are a selection of football coupons and a list of competitions that can be found, at BlackType.
The type of markets that you can expect to find at BlackType are the likes of American Football, Greyhounds, Specials, Cricket, Rugby League, Aussie Rules, Handball, Cycling, Rugby Union, Baseball, Horse Racing, Darts, Snooker, Basketball, Ice Hockey, Football, Tennis, Boxing, Motor Sports, MMA, Golf and Volleyball.
For a company that only began in 2016, this is quite an impressive list to be getting on with and their betting markets also meet the right criteria, also. Although they don’t have the most extensive list of betting markets, there is still more than enough to be getting on with and football has some popular markets, like Match Result, Draw No Bet, First Team to Score, Double Chance, Handicaps, First Half Result, Correct Score, Scorer Markets, Teams to Score, To Win to Nil, Total Goals, Corners and many more.
Welcome Bonus & Promotions:
As with any new sportsbook, they do need time to iron out the kinks, however, we were surprised that there was already an outstanding welcome bonus just waiting for new customers to snap up. The bonus allows all new customers to bet £10 and immediately receive an extra £5 towards the casino and a 50% risk free amount of £5 if your first bet of £10 or more loses. There are better welcome bonuses out there, but this one allows you to get a better insight of the company before committing any large amounts of money and changing your mind.
There isn’t much more available once you have used the welcome bonus and unless you are a fan of online casinos, you will be fairly limited to best odds on UK greyhound races.
If you enjoy betting during the most cutting edge sporting moments, BlackTypes’ in-play console is definitely going to be your kind of thing. They have a decent range of sporting markets to begin with, such as Football, Baseball, Tennis, Snooker and for the complete list will depend on when you check.
It’s a similar story to their regular betting markets and although they do fall slightly behind other sportsbooks when it boils down to the actual markets that they offer, there is still a good range to choose from and is something that will only continuing to get better as they grow.
Mobile & Tablet:
We are pleased to tell you guys that BlackType has already launched their mobile betting application and this can be found only on the iTunes app store currently. We are certain that this is something that BlackType will be looking to address and you can expect a version that can be accessed by Android users in the not so distant future.
On the other hand, the application is a fantastic addition to their already quite accomplished sportsbook; it’s sleek, fast and incredibly simplistic to use, especially if you have come straight from their desktop site.
Android users needn’t miss out on the fun, however, and they can enjoy a fully mobile optimised mobile version of the desktop site just by heading over to BlackType from their portable devices browser.
Blacktype do fall behind slightly with their accepted payment methods, which is again due to how new they are. Currently they only accept cards such as Visa, MasterCard and Maestro. This is something that we are certain to see improve as the company progresses.
Players who seek help or have any questions will be able to get in touch with BlackType’s fantastic support team, who deliver a great standard of knowledge and are polite no matter how easy or difficult the situation. They are only contactable via email, which could use some improvements but they are proven to be efficient at responding.
BlackType is a sportsbook that is growing exponentially, they have come a long way in the last year but they still have more ground to cover. As mentioned previously, their bonuses, payment methods and support are the biggest areas that we would like to see improvements in and it is more than likely that the rest will fall into place as they find their feet. It’s because of this that makes it hard not to recommend BlackType to you as a sportsbook, as the longer you spend there; you see past the faults and see them for what they are.
